Whitely wins the Sir John Drughorn Trophy

Gorleston Golf Club was the venue for the Sir John Drughorn Trophy, a Suffolk Handicap Order of Merit event. 61 players took part.

The lowest gross score was returned by Jack Butcher from the home club with 72-74 for 146 from Patrick Spraggs (Aldeburgh) 77-70-147

The Trophy goes to the player returning the lowest nett score and was won by Dane Whiteley, a home club member playing off a course handicap of 9 who shot 75-76 for 151 nett 133.He beat fellow home club member Max Evans course handicap 20 who had 83-90 for 173- nett 133 on count back.
