Coronation Cup

Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club was the venue for the Coronation Cup, a Suffolk handicap order of merit event, on Sunday 14th August. 31 players took part.

Rhodri Harston (Muswell Hill and Felixstowe Ferry) returned the lowest gross score with 73, 69 for a 2 under par 142. Jimmy Price, the Suffolk Amateur Champion was 2nd with 75-73 for 148 and Sid Neenan, (Aldeburgh), 3rd with 74,75 for 149.

The Coronation Cup goes to the player returning the lowest nett score over 36 holes and it was won by Phil Cooke, course handicap 12, who returned 85-80 for 165 nett 141. He won the trophy by returning an afternoon nett score of 68 on count back from Fraser Johnson who finished on the same score with 68-73
