Junior Open Series

2025

The Suffolk Golf Union alongside the Suffolk Ladies County Golf Association, have commenced the Junior Open Series for 2025, with all fixture dates detailed below.

Designed to help promote the growth of junior golf within the county for both boys and girls.

Not only does it encourage golfers to engage with other like minded youngsters, it will help their development on and off the golf course by offering a platform to enjoy, compete, improve and develop their personal attributes within a safe and friendly environment.

2025 Series

The season is now in full swing and the fourth Junior Open was held at Southwold Golf Club on Saturday, the 14th June.

The tournament attracted a good number of entries again and conditions proved challenging which we thought it would! The Gorleston players did very well, with Max Elliott taking the scratch points and 5 new names appearing on The Series leader board.

Fellow Gorleston member, Charlie Whiteman, took the net points with Max closely behind him.

Jacob Severn remains the leader with 13 points in the scratch Junior Open Series but with 5 players on 8 or 9 points at his heals. Finley Edwards also remains at the top for the net but again with 6 players within two points. It`s warming up nicely.

Josie Knights entered this tournament and took both the gross and net points, which now makes her joint leader in both the scratch and net Series.

Great to see a few more new names appearing on the leader boards in 2025!
