Tolly Cobbold Cup

The Tolly Cobbold Cup is competed for by clubs affiliated to the Suffolk Golf Union.

It is for golfers with a handicap Index between 8.1 and 16.0  competed for on handicap with teams of eight competing against each other on a foursome matchplay knock-out basis over 36 holes in a single day.

Scoring is on a cumulative holes basis (rather than matches) meaning every hole counts and all 36 holes must be completed in each individual match.

The team winning the most holes will progress to the next round.The initial rounds are either home or away and the semi-final and final are played at a neutral venue.

Once entries are confirmed a draw takes place each year, with the first round usually taking place in April and the final in late August or early September.
