South East Group Junior Foursomes

Unfortunately, of the eleven counties eligible to compete in the England Golf Junior Team Foursomes at Hever Castle in Kent, only five chose to do so. The event is unlikely to continue next year.
Suffolk were represented by a relatively young and inexperienced team, Harry Tibble and Fraser Johnson; Liam Buggs and MacKenzie Bacon; George Jackson and Henry Moore; Kane Russell and Bailee Taylor.
Due to a thunderstorm and heavy rain the competition was reduced to 27 holes. The morning round was curtailed to 9 holes but the weather improved to allow 18 holes to be played in the afternoon. The best three scores from four in each round counted for the team score. Unfortunately 14 year old Bailee Taylor was taken ill during the afternoon round and had to leave the course, leaving Kane Russell to mark the card of their playing partners.
The event was won by Essex with Kent as runners up. Suffolk finished in fifth place. Hampshire and Sussex were the other competing counties.
