South East Group Senior Championship

The South East Group Senior Championship (Alan Hobson Trophy) was played at Thetford Golf Club on the 24-25th July. A full field of 72 competitors took part including 15 Suffolk based players. The event is played over 2 days, 18 holes on each day.

Steven Duffety was the best place finishing 10th after rounds of 75-79 for  a 10 over par total of 154. Other Suffolk players scores- Graham Shiillings 77-80, Steve Mann 82-79, Roger Taylor 84-77, Adrian Studd 81-82, Alan Middle 84-79, Andy Ball 87-76, Tim Hedin 81-84, Chris Ginn 82-84, Gary Robinson 83-83, Andy Whittaker 85-85, Nigel Hilliard 89-83, Steve Fair 90-86, David Matter 88-89, Malcolm Parkinson N/R 81.

The event was won by George Best Wilson from Calcot Park with 72-73 for a 1 over par total of 145.
