Champion of Champions weekend

England Golf hosted the Champion of Champions weekend at Woodhall Spa (Hotchkin course) 9-11th September.

Our representative in the Boys event was Harry Brinded (Aldeburgh) He returned scores of 76-73 for a 3 over par total of 149 which saw him finish tied 14th from 29 Counties represented. The Boys Champion was Charlie Croker (Essex) who carded 71=68 for a 7 under par total of 139

The men’s event was shortened to 27 holes due to early morning fog. Our Representative Jimmy Price (Felixstowe Ferry) returned 42-80 for a 12 over par total of 122 which aw him finish in 22nd place.Nick Day (Gloucester) was the men’s champion after returning 34-67 for a 9 under par total of 101

Simon Goldsmith (Rookery Park) represented us in the Seniors event and he returned scores of 79-79 for a 12 over par total of 158 which saw him finish tied 14th from 29 competing Counties. The Seniors champion was Warren Bladen (Warwickshire) who shot 74-69 for a 3 under par total of 143.
