Habebul Islam (Ipswich) finished 3rd of 252 competitors in the R & A Boys Amateur Championship held at Saunton Golf Club. As a result he was seeded through to round 2 of the Match play stage,however, he was unable to progress despite being 2 up with 2 to play against Lancashire’s John Wilding who finished with birdies on 17 and 18 to level the match.
