Hambro Cup Finals are on 17th August

One semi final was played at Fynn Valley where Thorpeness pictured above took on Hintlesham. This was a see saw affair with Hintlesham having the upper hand at lunch being 5 holes to the good. Thorpeness mounted a charge in the second round and when the last pair arrived at the 18th it was all square. The stalemate was broken on the second play off hole with Thorpeness going through to the final.

The other semi final was hosted at Thorpeness. Rookery Park (pictured below) had gained the upper hand by lunch with an 11 hole lead. Brett Vale had some catching up to do and but in a superb effort but in the end Rookery Park ran out 6 hole winners. The weather played a part in this game with much rain, flooding so well done to everyone that got the match finished.
