England Golf Champion of Champions weekend

England Golf held the Champion of Champions weekend on the Hotchkin course at Woodhall Spa 11-12th September. Counties were represented by their respective County Champions – Men, Boys and Senior Men.

The Boys event was played over 36 holes on the Saturday, Suffolk represented by their boy’s Champion Tyler Weaver (Bury St Edmunds) Tyler returned 72-75 for a one over par total of 147 which saw him finish tied in 7th place. The winner was Dylan Shaw-Radford representing Yorkshire who carded 70-71 for a 5 under par total of 141

In the Senior Men’s event 18 holes were played on the Saturday and a further 18 on the Sunday. Suffolk’s Champion, Steve Crosby (Gorleston) opened with a 4 over par 77 and added a 79 for a 10 over par total of 156 and 14th place. The event was won by Steve Sansome (Leicestershire & Rutland) who carded 71-71 for a 4 under par total of 142.

Suffolk were not represented in the Men’s event as the County Champion, Gregor Tait, has returned to university in the States
