Thorpeness went to Hintlesham where they triumphed by 3 holes and Felixstowe Ferry went to Diss and ran out winners by 4 holes.

Holders Beccles got off to a sound defence at home to Bramford with a 12 hole victory. Southwold clung on against Gorleston in another last hole matters match winning by1 hole. Ufford Park had a good match with Fynn Valley with a narrow win for the home side. There was a similar story at Rookery Park who ran out winners against Aldeburgh.

Comfortable wins were achieved by Haverhill, Flempton, Halesworth and The Suffolk.
