Wright and Ollington win the Suffolk Amateur Foursomes

Will Wright and James Ollington (Aldeburgh) won the Suffolk Amateur Foursomes Championship and took the McLeod Cup held at Halesworth Golf Club on Sunday 14th April. They carded rounds of 72 and 74 for a total of 146 to win by 1 shot from Josh Cottrell and Connor James (Rushmerre) who could only add an afternoon 79 to their superb morning round of 68.  They took the Watts Salvers. Jack Butcher and Brendan Gough (Gorleston) took 3rd place with 74-75 for a 149 total.

Butcher and Gough  recorded the lowest nett with 141 from Wright and Ollinton on  142 and Marc Duszynski and Russell Rayner Ipswich) and Ross Howard and Ricky Ling (Rushmere) both on 143.

Steve Mann and Adrian Studd ( Woodbridge) were the best placed seniors pairing taking the Jon Marks Trophy with rounds of 80 and 74 for 154.
