VOLUNTEER WITH THE SUFFOLK GOLF UNION

Golf Referee in Buggy
Referee Trevor Mason

The Suffolk Golf Union (SGU) are looking for golf-loving volunteers to help with our competitions, championships, and matches. If you are interested in learning more about the running of these events and becoming part of our team we can provide you with training in ball spotting, assisting with live scoring and maybe even refereeing.

At SGU events our willing volunteers will see great golf (*not guaranteed*), get to enjoy the event day atmosphere and at the same time be an integral part of the tournament’s smooth running. Not forgetting the added bonus of refreshments and lunch!

Throughout the year there are plenty of opportunities to help out, so with a great team of volunteers behind us you’ll have the chance to help out a little or a lot!

In addition to these roles we also have the opportunity for volunteers to work with our junior squads (subject to DBS check) – perhaps you can inspire Suffolk’s next tour player!

If you are interested in being part of our team of volunteers or have any questions regarding the voluntary roles the SGU has to offer we welcome you to contact our secretary Paddy Lockwood at  secretary@suffolkgolfunion.co.uk .
