Tyler Weaver wins Lagonda Trophy

The Lagonda Trophy is an annual event held at Gog Magog Golf Cub, Cambridge. It attracts a high quality field, past winners including Lee Westwood and Luke Donald.

The competition is a 72 hole stroke play event with a cut made after the first 36 holes, the top 40 players and ties progressing to play the final 36 holes. Suffolk had 3 entrants, Tyler and Max Weaver (Bury St Edmunds) both made the cut which fell at 153 on 142 & 147 respectively. Unfortunately Dan Nicholls (Felixstowe Ferry) was forced to retire through injury after the first 18 holes.

Max carded 74,73, 72 and 76 for a  over par total of 295 which saw him finish tied for 23rd place.

Tyler, however returned 71,71, 69,69 for a level par 280 which saw him take the title by 4 shots

A fantastic achievement- well done Tyler.
