TOM FINN RESULT DISAPPOINTING FOR U16S

This was a big day for this fixture as an ever present for the last 10 years or so has been Tom Finn himself and last year it was announced he would not be attending after this year and the event was held at this home club.

After 9 holes of the event it was looking good for the Suffolk side with only a couple of matches not being all square or positive in Suffolk favour. Alas form fell away at the business end of the round and it was not to be. Cambridgeshire ran out winners with 22pts, Suffolk second with 14 and Leicestershire third with 12. This event brings down the curtain on the U16 season with much work to do over winter before next years campaign which will soon be with us.

Manager Jim Harrison said that while the result had been disappointing the occasion was great with some fantastic camaraderie but that the best bit was having a long chat with Tom Finn himself.
