Suffolk Under 18’s begin their 2022 League Campaign

On Saturday the 7th of May Suffolk U18s opened their 2022 account with a triangular league match against Bedfordshire and Norfolk played at the magnificent John O’Gaunt Golf Club. The course was in stunning conditions with lush fairways and true running manicured greens.

Reuben Harvey gave a good solid captains performance with a win in both of his matches. Josh Harrison was making his competitive Suffolk county debut and put in a very good performance to secure 2 points for the team – a perfect start to his Suffolk career. With the entire team supporting Harry Brinded held his nerve to close out his match against Bedfirshire on the 17th green and win a vital 2 points to get the draw with Bedfordshire overall.

Man of the match was Callum Hughes winning both of his matches very comfortably, one of which by 9 & 7. Callum was top scorer for Suffolk U18s last year and it looks like his good form has continued.
