Suffolk Under 16’s beaten in Opening League Match
On Sunday the 12th of June the Suffolk U16s kicked off their season with a league game against Norfolk and Hertfordshire at The Suffolk Golf Club. On a warm and calm day conditions were perfect for some good scoring.
Hertfordshire entered the match as favorites and didn’t disappoint. They fielded a young but very strong team who proved to be too much for both Suffolk and Norfolk and enabled Hertfordshire to take maximum points going into the second match. Hertfordshire beat Suffolk 7 to 1 and also beat Norfolk 7 to 1. Norfolk took second spot beating Suffolk 4.5 to 3.5.
Man of the match was Archie Chapman who returned a maximum two points by winning both his matches.
