Suffolk Under 14’s against Norfolk and Cambridgeshire
Suffolk Under 14’s took on Norfolk and Cambridgeshire in the annual Triangular match at Barnham Broom Golf Club. They played 12 holes of foursomes in the morning and 18 holes of singles in the afternoon.
Suffolk were well beaten by both counties in the foursomes, winning only one point, but the scores were much closer in the singles with Patrick Coffey and Jonathon Points winning both their matches. A 6 foot putt by Suffolk’s James Sadler to secure a half against his Cambridgeshire opponent ensured that Norfolk won the match by just half a point from Cambridgeshire.
Match result: Norfolk 14 points, Cambridgeshire 13 1/2 and Suffolk 8 1/2.
