SUFFOLK SENIORS – SOUTH EAST REGION QUALIFIER
The South East Region England Golf Seniors’ 6 Man Team event took place at the par 72 Heacham Manor Golf Club, Norfolk on 19 & 20 July 2023. The Suffolk team and the individual scores were as follows:
Steve Duffety (Bury St Edmunds) 75 & 81
Simon Goldsmith (Rookery Park) 80 & 78
Steve Mann (Woodbridge) 75 & 79
John Newsome (Woodbridge) 77 & 72
James O’Doherty (Stowmarket) 77 & 72
Graham Sykes (Bury St Edmunds) 75 & 80
Suffolk came 8th out of the 11 teams competing with an aggregate (best 5 from 6 each day) of 760.
The winners were the very strong Surrey team with a score of 729. The best individual score (also Surrey) was 67 & 73 – 140.
