Suffolk Mixed Pairs (Better Ball) Championship

The Suffolk Mixed Pairs (Better Ball) Championship, a new event, was held at Gorleston Golf Club on Saturday 10th September. 16 pairs took part.

The Collins Trophy (previously used for the Suffolk Mixed Foursomes Championship) was won by Chris Potter (professional at Bungay & Waveney Valley) who partnered the Suffolk Ladies County President, Lils James (also Bungay) who returned a gross 73. They finished 1 shot ahead of Abbie Symonds and Guy Jenkinson (Both Ipswich) and Ken and Juliette Coffey (Woodbridge) who both shot 74.

The best nett score was returned by Michael and Clare Woods (Rookery Park and Halesworth) with 63 from Jeffrey and Sue Hayward (Woodbridge) 66 and Mark and Valerie Oakes (Bramford) 67
