Suffolk Juniors Reach Anglian League Final

The Suffolk U18s Junior team won the Anglian League Eastern qualifier against Norfolk and Cambridgeshire at Gorleston on Wednesday 7th August.

Callum Hitcham who has just moved back to England from Spain and has joined Gorleston Golf Club was making his debut. With a handicap of 2, and at just 17 years old he will make a useful addition to the team over the next two years.

The qualifier match is a triangle format with players simultaneously playing matches against both counties at the same time. The final result was Suffolk 17.5, Norfolk 13, Cambridgeshire 5.5. All Suffolk players contributed points to the winning total, with Max Weaver and Teddy Hall both scoring maximum points.

The team will now play in the final against Northamptonshire at Bungay on Monday 19th August. Tee off is at 8.30am, supporters are welcome.
