STENSON SHIELD ROUND 2 RESULTS
One of the intriguing fixtures was the contest between Rushmere (pictured right with captain Alan Middle) and Stowmarket which ended in a comfortable 8 – 4 win for the home side. Their reward is a home tie in the quarterfinal against Ufford Park who managed a rare 12 – 0 win over Fynn Valley.
Elsewhere Aldeburgh continued their good form with a win at Southwold and Woodbridge overcame Newton Green as the two away sides progressed.
The local derby between Flempton and Bury St Edmunds was a close run thing with a 6.5 to 5.5 win however Rookery Park overcame Haverhill by a wide score win and there was a comfortable win for Felixstowe Ferry.
