STENSON SHIELD ROUND 1 RESULTS
After the disappointing weather of Friday, the five matches due today were reliant on the work of the hard pushed greens staff for them to go ahead. Well done all greens teams as they all went ahead.
Two matches went to a play off after finishing at 6 – 6. Holders Ipswich travelled to Haverhill but lost out on the 4th play off hole mean while at Diss Bury St Edmunds won at the first play off hole as Sam Renville got the better of Chris Bartrum. A special mention to Ufford Park, who I am reliably informed won their first ever Stenson match today at Bungay and Waveney Valley. Well done to them. Elsewhere there were comfortable wins for Gorleston and Stowmarket. The results and draw can be seen by clicking on STENSON
