Scratch Team Championship 2025

A wonderfully presented Halesworth Golf Club set the scene for what was the most represented Scratch Team Shield Championship yet. 15 Golf Clubs had chosen their top 3 players whose combined scores would decide the 2025 winners.

A few players got their club off to a fast start. Connor Talbot had -4 through 9 for Felixstowe. Nathan Parrish was -1 representing Woodbridge as was Joe Payne for Ufford Park. Reuben Harvey was -2 with his Aldeburgh team mates not far behind.

At the midway point Aldeburgh had a strong lead and as the players headed towards the finish it was getting stronger. Josh Robertson was on his way to a +2 74, Harry Brinded carded a solid 72 whilst Reuben showed excellent quality going on to score -3 (69).

Special mentions must go to Chris duffy whose score of 71 earned him second place in the individual competition and also to Felixstowe Ferry who where the second placed team. Aldeburgh though were far too strong on the day with Reuben, the lowest scorer, securing the top spot in the individual competition and the team winning by 14 clear shots.

Congratulations to Aldeburgh for holding onto the shield for another year.
