Pearce wins the Silver Barrel

Ipswich Golf Club held the Silver Barrel, an event in the Suffolk Golf Union Handicap Order of Merit, on Thursday 30th June. 66 players took part.

Callum Pearce (Ufford Park) playing off 5 handicap carded 73 and 70 for 143 gross- nett133 to win the Silver Barrel Trophy by 1 shot from Paul McKay, 7 handicap (Crews Hill), who had rounds of 73 and 75 for 148-134 nett with Tom Price, 4 handicap (Druids Heath), 3rd after rounds of 71 and 76 for 147-nett 139

Monty Scowsill (Woodbridge) plus 2 shot the lowest gross score with 68 and 68 for a 4 under par total of 136, 2 shots ahead of Patrick Spraggs, plus 5 from Aldeburgh who had rounds of 66 and 72 for 138,with Chris Vince, Plus 1 from Haverhill, 3rd after carding 71 and 71 for 142.
