Mens winter training draws to a close

The men’s team winter coaching ended on Sunday. Through all three days various playing options and skill tests were undertaken with a winner being sought.

Leading into the final day Connor Talbot (Felixstowe Ferry) had been in imperious form when winning all challenges and was a short priced favourite to win the final day. He continued his streak with an equal top pitching score. The afternoon saw 18 holes foursomes on the fantastic Aldeburgh course. The top scorers in the golf were Will Wright and Harry Brinded (both Aldeburgh) and Alfie Halil and Taylor Crisp (Flempton and Woodbridge). Russell Oakey and Dan Hedges Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich) were one point back.

The final get together in the clubhouse saw head coach Keith Preston award prizes to the winner on the day Russell Oakey and the overall winner Connor Talbot.
