Logan Trophy-English Mid Amateur Championship

Two Suffolk players took part in the English Mid Amateur Championship (Logan Trophy) held at The Leicestershire Golf Club 5-7th July. 132 competitors played 36 holes with the top 40 and ties progressing to the final round. 

Danny Western (Gorleston) missed the cut, which fell at 10 over par, with round of 75 and 77 for a 12 over par total of 152. Will Wright (Aldeburgh progressed in 33rd place with 72 and 76 for an 8 over par total of 148. He added a 74 in his 3rd round to finish tied in 33rd place on 222 (+12)

The event was won by Geoff Harris (Formby) who had rounds of 68,70 and 67 for a 5 under par total of 205
