Keith Bass Trophy

Keith Bass Trophy

Suffolk Under 14s competed against Essex, Norfolk and Bedfordshire at Seckford Golf Club for the Keith Bass Trophy.

Each county fields a team of eight, they play a medal round and the three best gross scores plus the three best nett scores count for the team score. The gross and nett score for any one player cannot be used, so six of the eight players contribute towards the team score.

Essex, as usual, fielded a very strong team and won the competition. Charlie Rusbridge (Essex) won the scratch prize with a score of 66 and James Sadler (Ipswich) won the nett prize with an excellent score of 60, six under his handicap.

Team scores: -Essex – 408, Norfolk – 424,Bedfordshire – 428, Suffolk – 454
