IPSWICH WIN THE STENSON SHIELD

The final of the Stenson Shield between Aldeburgh and Ipswich was played at Woodbridge Golf Club on Saturday 30th September.

Ipswich took a 3.5 to 0.5 lead after the morning foursomes with wins from James Tyler & Dan Hedges,Jon Day & Ian Brown and Adam Golding &Andrew Reynolds. Graham Wardley & Adrian Meredith halving their game with Robert Palmer & James Keeley 

Ipswich consolidated the position with singles wins from Meredith, Wardley and Reynolds together with a halve from Day taking the match by 8 games to 4

Congratulations to Olly Allison (Aldeburgh) who had a hole in one on the par 3 12th.
