The rearranged Beaumont final was held at Rushmere on Thursday 2nd October after being rained off on the first time after about 8 holes.
It was a glorious autumnal day. All matches were closely contested but played in a friendly and enjoyable manner. Bramford were suffering from 4 of the original selected team being unavailable but there was no hint of this being an issue as the scores remained tight throughout.
In the end it was as always happens in a fairy tale down to the last group on the last green. With Bury 1 up Bramford needed to win the hole to force a replay. It was not be as the hole was halved and the win secured.

The presentation was held shortly after and both captains rightly praised both Rushmere for hosting an their teams on reaching the final. County Secretary Paddy Lockwood was on hand to present the trophy to Steve Flint the Bury St Edmunds captain.
