Mixed results for opening Anglian League Matches

Suffolk played their opening Anglian League match against Norfolk at Bawburgh Golf Club on Sunday 8th May.

They led 2.5 to 1.5 after the morning foursomes with wins from Teddy Hall and Ben Sayers and Alfie Halil and Dan Nicholls, who on his debut achieved a hole in one on the short par 3 2nd. Max Weaver and Jack Cardy halved.

In the afternoon singles only Hall and Nicholls managed wins with Spraggs halving leaving Norfolk the winners by 7-5

The 2nd team were playing Norfolk 2nds at Diss.

All pairings won their games in the morning foursomes, Suffolk establishing a 4-0 lead.

Despite losing 5 of the afternoon singles Suffolk hung on the win 7-5, their afternoon points coming from Ian Brown, Josh Driver and Captain, James Tyler.
