Essex Under 14’s v Suffolk Under 14’s
On a very hot day at Forrester Golf Club near Malden, Suffolk boys U14 put in a great team performance with all boys contributing to the result. The first three games in the morning foursomes were all halved, but a great result for Jack Rust and Josh Hembling who won giving us a great lead at lunchtime by one point.
The nine singles were all evenly contested and at the half way point, it looked as if Suffolk was going to win. However we faltered in the back nine, and lost 5 games to 4. Congratulations to Harry Brinded, Callum Pearce, Fraser Johnson and Enzo Johnson.
This was a superb result and showed great spirit and team bonding, and augurs well for the future.
