England Golf Seniors County Qualifying

Suffolk Seniors were competing against 10 other Counties at East Sussex National Golf Club on the 16/17th July where they were attempting to qualify for the England Golf Seniors County Finals to be held at Effingham Golf Club 6-10th October.

The competition consisted of teams of 6 playing 18 holes on the Tuesday and Wednesday with the 5 best scores returned each day to count.

Suffolk’s team score on day one was 409 which saw them in 8th place overnight. They added 421 on day two leaving them on a total of 830 and retaining 8th place.

The team qualifying to represent the South East Group was Sussex on 750 and Steve Graham, a Sussex team member, had the best individual score with 71-70 for a 3 under par total of 141.
