The Tolly Cobbold cup quarter finals saw a great finish at Stowmarket where the visitors were Fynn Valley. At lunch Stowmarket were 3 holes ahead and all to play for. The afternoon saw a 6 down reversal for each side and a half. The third match saw a 3 hole win for Fynn Valley so all square in holes after 144 played. And so to the play off and this was won by Fynn Valley at the first play off hole.
Ufford Park had the ultimate local derby with near neighbours Woodbridge the visitors. After a close battle all day the home side ran out victors by 5 holes. Thorpeness won the battle of seaside clubs against Gorleston by 13 holes and Beccles made it to the semi finals with a 24 hole win over Hintlesham which was the exact number of shots that they received from their visitors.
The semi finals are Beccles v Thorpeness at Rookery Park and Fynn Valley v Ufford Park at Brett Vale on Sunday 20th July.
