Woodbridge win the Stenson Shield

The final of the 2022 Stenson Shield, between Woodbridge and Rushmere, was played at Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club (2021 winners) on Saturday 24th September.

Woodbridge led by 3 – 1 after the morning foursomes. The afternoon singles were much closer with several matches that could have gone either way. However Woodbridge ran out the winners by 7.5 to 4.5

Connor James and Josh Cottrell lost 4 and 3 to Monty Scowsill and Declan Conlon, Kevin Eagle and Alan Middle lost 2 and 1 to Nathan Parrish and Phil Ashenden, Jordan Dymond and Matt Godbold beat Dominic Rudd and Ken Coffey 2 up, Ross Howard and Glen Goldsmith lost 4 and 2 to Toby Ayles and Tom Fowler

Alan Middle lost 4 and 3 to Monty Scowsill, Josh Cottrell beat Declan Conlon 1 up, Connor James beat Domonic Rudd 1 up, Jordan Dymond lost 3 and 2 to Nathan Parrish, Kevin Eagle lost 4 and 3 to Ken Coffey, Matt Godbold lost 1 down to Paul Ashenden, Glen Goldsmith beat Tom Fowler 2 up, Ross Howard all square with Toby Ayles
