U16 League Matches
A cool, breezy day greeted the teams from Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk to Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club for the first league encounter of the year. Some of the players will recognise, with the benefit of hindsight, the value of keeping your ball in play and the rough was destructive to any game plan. New Suffolk junior champion Patrick Coffey continued his good form with 2 wins and there was one and a half points won by captain Kane Russell and Charlie Langdon. In the final shake up it was close all round the scores reading Suffolk 2 ½ Norfolk 5 ½ . Suffolk 4 ½ Bedfordshire 3 ½ and Norfolk 4 ½ Bedfordshire 3 ½.. All results were close and the next clash in Norfolk on 15th July is eagerly awaited. The welcome from the staff and members was great and the food was excellent so on balance a very good day.
