The Sam Jaggard Trophy winner is announced

The Suffolk Golf Union Junior Committee awards trophies to an Under 18 player and an Under 16 player to reflect their commitment to county golf, their conduct both on and off the course, their golfing ability and the example they set to fellow junior golfers.

The Sam Jaggard Trophy for the Under 16s was presented by Sam’s mother after the former county junior player was tragically killed in a car accident, aged 19. For 2021 the trophy was awarded to Tyler Weaver who represented England Under 16 boys and had a 100% record in his singles and foursomes matches.

He has now been selected for the full England Boys squad for 2022. He is the current Suffolk Boys Junior Champion.

Tyler was presented with the trophy by the Chairman of the Suffolk Golf Union Junior Committee, Trevor Mason.
