Tait 9th at Australian Amateur Championship

The Australian Amateur Championship was played at New South Wales and St Michaels Golf Clubs 10th to 13th January 2023. 221 male golfers took part.

The field was reduced to 64 + ties after 36 holes with a further cut to 36 + ties after 54 holes.

Tait successfully made the final day after carding rounds of 72,66 and 70 for an eight under par total of 208 which left him one shot behind the joint leaders.He carded a 2 over par for his final round leaving him on 282- 6 under par for the Championship and in joint 6th place.

The Championship was won by Kazuma Kobori, New Zealand, on 273- 15 under par.
