Tait 13th in Scottish Men’s Open Championship

Two Suffolk Players took part in the Scottish Men’s Open Championship held at Cruden Bay Golf Club, Aberdeen 27-29th May. 144 competitors took part in the 72 hole event with a cut made after 36 holes,40 + ties progressing to play the final 36 holes.

Unfortunately Monty Scowsill (Woodbridge ) failed to make the cut after rounds of 79-78 for 157-17 over par.The cut falling at 9 over par.

Gregor Tait (Aldeburgh) opened with a level par 70 followed by 77, 75 finishing with a superb 3 under par 67 for a total of  9 over par which saw him finish tied in 13th place.

The Championship was won by Charlie Thornton.(Fulford) who finished on 278-2 under par.
