Suffolk Under 12’s v Norfolk and Cambridgeshire
Suffolk Under 12’s played a match against Norfolk and Cambridgeshire at Girton Golf Club, which gave some of our youngest golfers an opportunity to represent the county for the first time and to get a taste of competitive golf.
It was agreed in advance by all the team managers that the result was secondary to giving the boys experience so the teams played 9 holes of greensomes match play followed by 9 holes of singles match play, but using stableford scoring. Cambridgeshire scored 15 points with Suffolk and Norfolk scoring 10 1/2 each.
