SUFFOLK U14’S VS NORFOLK AT SOUTHWOLD GOLF CLUB
The Suffolk Under 14`s were in action yesterday at Southwold Golf Club, playing against an experienced Norfolk team. On what was a cold, cloudy and windy day the match was played in tremendous spirit, with a lot of the Suffolk boys playing both foursomes and singles match play for the first time. The morning foursomes saw Norfolk take a 3/1 lead, with the afternoon singles being a much closer affair with Norfolk just taking the spoils by 4 ½ to 3 ½. The overall result was Suffolk 4 ½ Norfolk 7 ½.
The U14 team gave a very good account of themselves, this being their first competitive gathering of the season. Well done lads!
