SUFFOLK U12`S ARE JOINT WINNERS OF THE AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY TRIANGULAR MATCH
The Suffolk U12 county team played in the annual triangular match against Cambridgeshire and Norfolk yesterday. Played at Ryston Golf Club, near Downham Market in Norfolk and for many, this would be their first taste of county golf.
The format is pairs for the first 9 holes and singles for the second 9 holes. This match is competitive, but everyone had an enjoyable day and it is always followed by a group meal when much discussion is held about the days golf!
Suffolk were eventually joint winners on 26 points along with Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire coming in third place on 20 points.
The Suffolk Team consisted of Ethan McCleary, Reece Edwards, William Cobbald, Alex Turner, Alfie Rackham, Charlie Whinney, Tanner Bowley and Edward Cobbald.
