Suffolk Seniors commenced their 2022 East Anglian League campaign with an away match at Collingtree Park Golf Club against Northamptonshire.

The morning foursomes saw Suffolk establish a 3.5 to 1.5 lead with wins from Steve Crosby & Paul Buckle, Steve Duffety & Graham Sykes and Roger Taylor and John Newsome with Simon Goldsmith & Gary Seaman halving their game.

Wins in the afternoon singles from Trevor Hellyer, Simon Goldsmith,and Gary Seaman together with halves from Roger Taylor,Graham Sykes,John Newsome and Steve Duffety saw them tie the singles 5-5 leaving them winners by 8.5 to 6.5

Results- morning foursomes- Steve Crosby & Paul Buckle beat Brendan Moss & Gary Grimmitt 5 & 3, Simon Bearman & Trevor Hellyer lost to Tony Lord & Andrew Castell 2 & 1, Simon Goldsmith & Gary Seaman halved with Dominic Jessop & Andrew Macdonald, Steve Duffety & Graham Sykes beat Alistair Heslop & John Evans 2 up, Roger Taylor & John Newsome beat Mick Barnett & Greg Thomas 1 up.
