Suffolk Seniors beat Cambridgeshire Seniors
Suffolk Seniors took on Cambridgeshire Seniors in an East Anglian League match at St Ives Golf Club on Tuesday 14th June.
The morning foursomes finished with the teams level at 2.5.-2.5 with Suffolk’s points coming from Steve Crosby and Steve Mann and John Newsome and Phil Smailes,Gary Seaman and Adrian Studd halving their game.
Wins in the afternoon from Steve Duffety, John Newsome, Steve Mann, Adrian Studd, Steve Crosby and Gary Seaman saw them record a win by 8.5. to 6.5

Four Suffolk senors recently took part in the English Senior Men’s Amateur Championship held at Ashridge and Berkhamstead Golf Clubs. Steve Duffety , Tim Hedin and Adrian Studd failed to make the cut, however Simon Goldsmith (Rookery Park) was successful shooting 75,74,75 for a 9 over par total of 224 which earned him a tie in 27th place.
