Suffolk Golf AGM and Presidents Golf competition

The AGM of Suffolk Golf Limited was held at Ipswich Golf Club on Friday 25th March-22 clubs attended. Minutes of the meeting can be seen by clicking here.

Martin Youngs, pictured right, was confirmed as President for the coming 2 years  Martin said that he was deeply honoured to be elected as President of Suffolk Golf Union. He has been associated with the Union since his junior playing days and is a former County Captain. In taking over he thanked the outgoing President, Bill Darling for his commitment and enthusiasm in what has been a difficult period.

The AGM was preceded by the usual Presidents Golf competition in which 85 players took part. The winners were Lawrence Dodd and Rob Pritchard,pictured left- both Suffolk Junior coaches, with 46 points. Will Wright and Kelvin Vince took 2nd place on 43 points, on count back from 3 other pairings who had the same score. Full results can be seen by clicking here

Many thanks to Ipswich Golf Club for allowing the Union to use their facilities. The course was in exceptional condition and enjoyed by all as was the superb lunch.
