St Andrerws Links Trophy
The St Andrews Links Trophy was held over the Jubilee and Old Courses 4-6 June. It is a 72 hole event with a cut made after 36 holes with the top 40 players + ties progressing to the final day.the cut fell at 2 over par.
Suffolk had 3 players in the field. Unfortunately Habebul Islam (Ipswich) failed to make the last day after carding 76-72 for a 4 over par total of 148.
Both Monty Scowsill and Gregor Tait qualified for the final 36 holes on 145 (+!) Monty added a 76 and 81 for a total of 302 and 50th place whilst Gregor shot 77 and 69 for 291 and 29th place.
Three players, Jack Cope, Robin Williams and George Burns tied on 280 (-8) with Cope taking the title on a play off.
