Seniors make a flying start

Bury St Edmunds Golf Club hosted the first league match for new captain Graham Sykes on Monday against Northamptonshire.

The morning foursomes saw a resounding effort with Suffolk leading by 4.5 to 0.5 at lunch. The afternoon singles saw the away side revival that was expected but the home side held sway and though it finished 5 – 5 it was a fine victory for Suffolk. Graham Sykes stated that he was chuffed to bits with both the team performance and the result. The full result can be viewed by clicking on SUFFOLK WIN.
