R &A Boys Amateur Championship

The R & A Boys Amateur Championship was played at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club 10-15th August. The format is two rounds of strokeplay with the top 64 players progressing to the match play stage.

Suffolk had two boys in the competition, Dominic Rudd  (Woodbridge) who retired after 15 holes in the 1st round and Teddy Hall (Bury St Edmunds) who qualified in 27th place after rounds of 72 and 75 for a 3 over par of 147.

Hall won by 1 hole against Jack Lee (Rochester & Cobham Park Golf Club) In Round 2 Andrew Haswell (Ormskirk golf club)
