Nick Reiss Memorial Trophy

Nick Reiss Memorial Trophy

The Nick Reiss Memorial Trophy is awarded by the county Junior Committee to a junior player who has been outstanding in any area of golf, whether in their performance in competitions or any other aspect of golf.

The trophy for 2019 was awarded to George Fricker who won the county junior championship for the second time; the county junior matchplay championship; the men’s matchplay championship and was unbeaten in all matches for the men’s and junior teams. In addition, the Committee noted that since the age of 11 George has been totally committed to representing the county and has always made sure he is available for matches at every age level and latterly for the men’s teams.

George is pictured receiving the Trophy from Trevor Mason, Chair of Suffolk Junior Golf.
