Not the Ideal Start

Sunday 11th May saw match day one of the Anglian league meaning our mens first and second team got their campaigns up and running.

Leicestershire stood in the way, the current holders of the Anglian league trophy. The first team got off to a slow start in round 1 and despite a back 9 battle from all pairs it was only enough for one mach and they trailed 3-1 at Hintlesham.

At Hinckley, our second team faired slightly better in the morning with the match poised at 2-2.

Sadly though for both teams Leicestershire were too strong in the singles. The first team went down 9-3 whilst the seconds lost 7-5.

The team now looks ahead to Seacroft next weekend where Suffolk will compete in the eastern Inter Counties Foursomes.
